There’s been a lot of stick directed at the poor auburn tinged, strawberry blonde, redheaded people recently (since ever) what with MIA’s banned video, which in itself proves there’s no such thing as bad publicity and a recent YouTube discovery concerning South Park and ginger headed responses of a rather funny nature.
Anyway.. what with HustlaBall coming around in the next few days, I’ve taken it upon myself to join in the crowd and sport a beard. It’s taken me about a week to even get a shadow, but now it’s coming through.. the heavens have shown me a latent Ginger Gene!! I remember my father being teased by my aunts about nostalgic stories regarding a wild unshaven mass of ginge once upon a time. it’s all come rushing back ever since a girlfriend of mine remarked how my own facial triumph was actually ‘rather ginger really’.
I’ve been noticing the London trend of facial hair a lot more because of this, and a fair few blond-brown haired guys actually seem to all have at least a tinge of ginge, some keep it short, some proudly bare all. I’ve become rather curious as to what’s actually hot or not, or whether the unashamedly brazen act of being part ginger provides a sense of pride and respect. Either way, it’s going to stay at least until Monday morning, and maybe, just maybe… into next week.

In the meantime, to all my weekend dates and mates and fellow partygoers, please look beyond the beard, and into my lovely blue/green eyes instead (“,)
